There hasn't been much in the way of butterflies on the farmette this summer. And, I do mean of any variety. We have plenty of wildflowers scattered about, as well as some flower beds. This usually attracts some species, but not this year.
However, I did have a lucky moment yesterday morning when I spied this lovely flyer. Her markings indicate that she is a true Monarch and not a Viceroy.
Mostly she cooperated, but a few shots didn't turn out as I had hoped.
