As celebrities pile on Kanye West for recently declaring his "love" for President Donald Trump, Justin Bieber came to his defense to remind everyone that it's okay to disagree sometimes.

"Our job is to love, not to always agree!" Bieber wrote on his Instagram story Thursday night. "Love you Kanye!"

Bieber's message comes as West faces backlash for his recent tweets in support of the president and his viral interview with TMZ, during which he claimed slavery was a choice.

"You don't have to agree with trump but the mob can't make me not love him. We are both dragon energy. He is my brother," he tweeted. "I love everyone. I don't agree with everything anyone does. That's what makes us individuals. And we have the right to independent thought."

Amid the following outrage from fans and fellow celebrities, West appeared in a live interview with TMZ days later and caused a storm again by insisting slavery was a choice.

"When you hear about slavery for 400 years ... for 400 years?! That sound[s] like a choice," he said. "You was there for 400 years, and it's all of y'all?"
